It is my great pleasure to invite you to the 1st
Congress of APITA (Asian Pancreas and Islet Transplant Association) scheduled to be held from February 21st
The goal of the meeting includes an introduction of pancreas and islet transplantations in Asian countries that will raise awareness to a lack of knowledge concerning modalities of these medical treatments. It may be incurred by technical issues and a shortage of a pool of cadaveric donors.
The symposium has been endorsed by IPITA (International Pancreas and Islet Transplant Association) while leaders of IPITA will take part in the meeting.
Distinctive Asian medical leaders in transplantation, Dr. Takashi Kenmochi, President of Japanese Society for Transplantation, Dr. Yi-Ming Shyr from Taiwan, and others will join APITA 2019.
I hope this meeting will motivate the participants to gain a substantial amount of knowledge and interact with one another for the furtherance of modalities of pancreas and islet transplantations.
Our organizing committee will do our utmost to make your stay as comfortable as possible.
We truly look forward to seeing you in Seoul.
Duck J Han, MD.
President of APITA
